Access Network Resources in Explorer Window

I have a simple issue that has me stumped. I just built a new Windows 10 system and after installing Vegas 17, I noticed that I could not see any of the Network resources in the Explorer window.

My prior Windows 7 systems with Vegas did not have this issue. When I select "Network" in the explorer window, I don't see any of the resources (Other computers, my NAS). When I use Windows Explorer I can see all the resources.

It's got to be something simple with my Windows 10 setup. I'd appreciate any suggestions.

You cannot easily access resources on a Windows 7 Computer from Windows 10, even if on the same network. The one tunnel easily accessed by you is to place your Windows 7 resources in its Public folder, assuming you are on a Private network, and File Sharing is turned on, for both machines.

Security software can create additional roadblocks. It's a Windows 10 "feature", nothing really to do with your software.

Thanks for the tip of putting Windows 7 resources in a public folder. I didn't think of that one!

I understand the issues with looking at Windows 7 computers on a network from a Windows 10 computer. But what I find strange is that in Windows 10 explorer I can see and open the folders on my two NAS systems, but when I go into Vegas 17, they don't show up.

The latter may be a network security thing, sorry I can't help you there.
