Can you try reset your Vegas Pro?

Hold Ctrl+Shift while starting Vegas Pro 17. Click Yes on the question.

Please note that you will lost any changes on your preference, but at least hoping it can get start up again.

The question is what Windows service, plugin, or controller is active that is trying to talk to Vegas through an open midi channel? Do you have Cakewalk or Cubase?

Have you tried switching your audio device in Vegas to ASIO, Direct Surround, or HD Audio, depending on what its called on your system?
