apeman 4k 50 fps footage appears to be fast forwarding

Ryan-Wood wrote on 11/9/2020, 9:22 AM

I have footage that loads fine in HD-movie maker pro and VLC\windows media player. When loaded in Vegas movie suite 2017 plat it appears to fast forward. The rate is at 1 when playing and all quality set to best. My akaso action camera at 4k 30 fps does not have this issue. I have tried hardware acceleration on and off with no success. I am using an asus tuf laptop with 4800 amd cpu and 2060 gpu.

@Ryan-Wood

Post Mediainfo report for the failing media clip using C1 from the link that you ignored at the top of the forum. At best, we're scientists here, not clairvoyant. At worst, we could totally ignore your distress and pursue our own trivial existence.

I having Vega software working on my laptop and pulled the media info. I had to open a support case to see why it crashes when opening on my desktop.

Also i included the screenshot showing the audio length and video length do not properly match. The video will complete then still run showing a black screen while the audio still plays. The added video size matches the original clip in run time and size but the only way to explain it is the video is running at x2 speed

@Ryan-Wood

Here's the likely problem:

Frame rate mode                          : Variable
Frame rate                               : 50.000 FPS
Minimum frame rate                       : 29.769 FPS
Maximum frame rate                       : 120 000.000 FPS

Search the forum for methods of converting variable frame rate files to constant frame rate. I'll get you started:

Or, a less elegant solution is to re-encode your files in Handbrake.
