audio clips mysteriously move (build 167)

anyone seen this? several times now i found 3-4 audio clips mysteriously missing, and had to take the time to add them back to the timeline, did so last night and saved.  today, vegas crashed after the bluetooth driver did, but there was no unsaved info to recover, so i opened vegas.  then opened my last saved file and bam 4-5 clips of audio got moved over a few seconds later on timeline from where i last saved them.

so it appears to be unrelated to user error or crashing, how is this happening and how do i protect against it?  it's too freaky and risky and forces quality control everytime i open the file.  i will send this to support as a ticket, but if anyone has seen this, lmk

Do you work with Rippling on and applying to all tracks?

was not working with rippling on, but perhaps it got accidentally switched on then switched off

or i otherwise mindlessly flinched while these clips were selected off screen and didn't notice them move on timeline. that's more likely it if it isn't a known bug and based on reply from support it didnt sound familiar to them.

Save Early, Save Often.

i do since 1990 when a computer glitch lost a 20 page term paper and had to write it up from memory after initial reaction. so this happened to a save often guy and that didnt prevent it.
