Audio Playing Slow when using an MP4 in timeline

I am using Vegas Pro 17. When I have an mp4 clip in my timeline, the video plays fine in the preview, but the audio sounds like it is playing in slow motion. Is there a fix for this please? Thanks!

I managed to find the fix myself. For anyone else wondering, here it is:

Moderator edit: I removed the link because it's to a video showing a cracked version of VEGAS (it's not philmac's own video, it appears). The solution it shows is simply to disable so4compoundplug.dll, which is explained in this post.
