Automatically extending/shortening video segments based on plybk rate?

Hello. I don't know if this is possible but i thought i'd enquire anyway.

When the playback rate is changed eg 50.00%, the video segment changes speed but the segment itself stays the same size and you have to manually extend/shorten the segment accordingly to fit the rest of the video in. Is there anything i can do so that once the new playback rate is chosen, the segment changes size in relation to it? Many thanks!

Not sure auto-extend an event, at risk to make unwanted crossing with other events behind, be a good thing.

Yess, that's possible.
Look at my little demo where I add first a 50p file to a 25p project and after that I add the file at the project framerate from the project media to that 25p project. Don't know if there are other possibilities.

There are scripts/extensions available which does this, though you'd need to enter the (playback) rate a second time.

There is a little notch on the resized event that is a "sticky" point when dragging the event edge to its new length.

Many people miss it's presence, but it's a very quick, handy tool, especially if you know where to look.
