I have resolved this. The Ninja2 was recording 4 channels of audio, the camera mic plus the Ninja2 line in. Usually I use only line in, but in testing DNxHD I had enabled the camera mic.  Once the Ninja2 was recording 2-channels of audio, I could import the file into Movie Studio

Right -- DNXHD in Windows does not support multiple audio tracks.

For best results with video, render 48/16 PCM audio with DNXHD, not the defaults.
