Are you certain the Avid LE version supports 12 bit?

That would seem quite remarkable if correct.

DNxHR, the Media Composer version, has always supported 12 bit.

But how to benefit from in Vegas Pro when only 8 bit get through?

JesusSheep-1965 wrote on 9/27/2018, 2:53 PM

Why Does it have 10 Bit Scopes Why Does Vegas Have HDR Support ?

JesusSheep-1965 wrote on 9/27/2018, 2:56 PM

Why are People Paying 400+ for a 8 bit program?

JesusSheep-1965 wrote on 9/27/2018, 2:59 PM

I guess people Either Have to Get Adobe Software or Get Divinchi Resolve Studio for real HDR Work Flow.

Musicvid wrote on 9/27/2018, 2:59 PM

Back up a step, jesus.

QT 32 bit library for Windows only supports 8 bit (thanks Marco). Vegas is not your roadblock.

Marco. wrote on 9/27/2018, 3:05 PM

Vegas Pro in general supports 8 bit, 10 bit (HDCAM SR, X-AVC, CineForm, Sony YUV/V210, ProRes, HEVC, DPX), 12 bit (RED) and more (EXR, DPX) but it is dependend on the video framework. It's not at all limited to 8 bit. But for the Avid Codecs there is no way to access more than 8 bit in Vegas Pro, yet. At least I have no infos this changed.

JesusSheep-1965, hold up a minute there.... Yes Vegas has its limitation, and nothing is wrong with constructive criticism, but don't start with the rude and sarcastic posts.

Well, that's in short what we mentioned above.

Yes, same participants, same conclusions.
