I need to use Render To Track to get rid of some Overlay FX Tracks. What is best format for uncompressed / pass-through with no audio and reasonable file size?
@Musicvid Why are you asking for mediainfo on media that doesn't exist?
@JHendrix Your question has a lot of answers, all depending on your specific needs.
fwiw, my preference is magicyuv which is lossless, inexpensive, fast and the file sizes are, imo, reasonable. I use it very regularly to pre-render tracks with and without alpha that I can consider "done"
You asked "What is best format for uncompressed / pass-through with no audio and reasonable file size?"
To me, the first thing I would want to know is my highest common source, since different media will optimize at very different "reasonable" file sizes; depending, of course, on what can be smart-rendered or rendered losslessly, with or without compression. But if it doesn't matter to you, don't bother.
I thought @JHendrix just wanted to get rid of some Overlay tracks (probably with transparency). Using Nesting instead of "rendering to new track" keeps original Overlay tracks editable (and their transparency), is lossless, doesn't require almost no storage space and extra rendering time.

Yeah nesting does turn out to be the rx in this case, thanks for reminding me. I have been away from Vegas for a few years!
