Depends on the type of sourcefiles and the format for delivering.
If you do tell them here included with some examples of laptops to choose from, we might perhaps give some help.

It will be a mp4 format file, i don't know if i can share the program for recording, and as examples i have non that is why I'm asking, before this i had a PC for gaming, i don't know what kind of configuration to look for on a laptop and for editing because i know gaming and editing are two different categories.

mp4 is a wrapper and in there in can be all kind of things, also videofiles encoded with a certain codec. As lang we know nothing about that, the pixeldimensions of those files and the delivery goal and quality, we cannot give any advice what will be the best hardware and the best program. The Vegas programs are also in different tastes who ask for some specialities on the used hardware

Tomshardware has great benchmarks for gaming as well as video rendering using different encoders. You are smart to point out that the two uses will point you in different directions.
