Blocks on random frames in rendered video - Vegas Pro 18 527

dinnyesg wrote on 9/5/2022, 5:35 AM

I get random blocky frames (one in a few min.) with a rendered video (see picture).

  • VegasPro18 build 527, Win10, Core i5-6600, only integrated GPU
  • I use Vegas pro daily /w the same plugins, sources
  • There isn't any problem during the preview
  • It happened before, but rarely, somehow I had a successfull render every time, but not now
  • Every render have different frames wrong
  • I have tried with QSV or Mainconcept Magix, Sony AVC, ProRes, with the same results

Any idea what to try next? Thank You!

Yes. Same problem with i5-8750.

Try turning OFF "GPU Acceleration of Video Processing" in Preferences->Video.

It have worked, thank you! The consequence is a very slow rendering, but at least without issue. Next time I will try again with GPU as it is mostly working. The nice thing that I don't have any idea why not now, and when will be the next similar case :(

Try updating your graphics drivers from the Help menu -- unfortunately I'm unable to do that because they are locked down by Asus. Depending on the Vegas build, I may or may not need to keep preview acceleration disabled. Feel free to mark my comment as a solution, if you wish.

To avoid ghost frames in vegas 17 pro I set in tools - preferences - video - maximum number of rendering threads to 1. and I walk away. When I come back, the video will be ready without any stress.
