michael-cookson wrote on 3/6/2020, 11:26 AM

Has anybody else tried the blu ray render Template, I cant get my ones to render they all crash at different parts of my project, If I choose any other template they all work and render without problems. I also notice that when using this blu ray setting my cpu runs at 100% .

Anybody any ideas?.

Which codec?

Which render template?

Which source properties?

What did you change?

michael-cookson wrote on 3/13/2020, 2:48 PM

Hi Musicvid its all the templates for making a blu ray disc's, I have not changed anything just using the standard templates for DVD Architect Blu Ray's.

This is some of the Media I used but it does it with all the media I try.

Can you also provide the Vegas properties mentioned here? They may give us a clue about the decoder being used. You have made no changes to the stock templates and are using separate audio streams, correct?

I always use the Sony BluRay template as always found it it to be the best quality. Never had a crash or a problem over many years. My footage is 4K XAVC 25P. I change the timeline to 1920x1080 24p and stretch the clips to same number of frames as 4K timeline. This ensures no skips in video going from 25p to 24p which BluRay requires.

Last changed by andyrpsmith on 3/13/2020, 7:43 PM, changed a total of 3 times.

Yes no changes and separate audio streams, I have used this way for years and never had a problem until now, I have even tried in Vegas Pro 15 and 16 with the same results.

With me those kind of files are using the so4compountplug , that you probably unabled.
I use it as defaullts and never saw any problem of that so4compound plug used.
The files renders with me to very long files when needed with the .avc extension for use in DVDA or another burning program.
When you used it in VPro 16, there also by default is the so4compound plug used.

Hmm, can you upload a short original sample of your DJI footage for others to test?

Drive or Dropbox please.

Guys I have just got it to render with the templates that it would not work with before, all I have done is increase the Dynamic Ram Preview setting, it was set to zero, I dont know why it was set to zero becuase its something I dont use normally.

I have set it to 1024. I not sure what a good setting is, but up to now I can render any of the Blu Ray templates ok.

I thought this setting was for just rendering a section or loop on the timeline, and had nothing to do with a full render setting.?..

I have been using Vegas since very early version's and never had to mess with this setting before..

andyrpsmith wrote on 3/15/2020, 5:30 PM

I never set it anything other than 0, If set higher than default it is generally detrimental to performance.
