Analog waveforms and parades are a holdover from an earlier broadcast era. Yes, learn about them, but not as necessary for your production.

Learn to master rgb and yuv levels using the histograms, and vectorscopes for tonal centers in critical grading. That is their biggest use in digital video, although those of us who were spoonfed on analog teevee find the visual waveform references useful.

Okay. I color grade videos for playback in TV (via USB) and of course, personal computers. Anyway, what are YUV levels?

For 99% of all delivery you will level your output to 16-235 range, or YUV.
