Can't see the results of chroma key effect changes in preview window

I've just begun using VEffects to apply Chroma Key to video.  At first, the changes I made to the effect were displayed in the VEffects preview window, but I must have inadvertently changed a setting in the course of looking around at the software's capabilities, because now the green screens remain green (my changes aren't reflected in the preview).  I have to save and go back to Vegas Pro (18) to see the effect of the changes I make, which is inconvenient to say the least.  (The preview is not affected at all now by the setting in Chroma Key under View, whether Status, Source, Result, etc.)  How can I restore the preview? I'm using Windows 10 on a PC.

@Chris-Staudt Hi, you need to share more info than that, inc a screenshot of the full screen, at the moment all we know is Chroma key isn't working as you want,

Maybe this description will be clearer: the Effects preview is behaving as if View were set to Source. It doesn't matter whether I set View to Status or Results or anything else; I only see the source video. For the Chroma Key effect, that means the green screen never changes. Before this functionality changed, the preview was responding to the View setting. Since I can't see Results anymore, I can't see the effects of changing settings in Chroma Key. I'm dead in the water. I need the preview window to preview the way it's supposed to. Questions?

Yes, walter-i, I opened the link. I was asked for a screen shot, so I supplied it. It revealed nothing, as I knew it would, but I'm willing to answer specific requests if the information might help. But "START at B and C"? My gathering an absurd amount of irrelevant information for a simple software issue doesn't make sense to me. For example, what "type of camera" would make a Preview window stop working? If no one here can even begin to help me with this based on the information I've given, fine, I'll move on.

@Chris-Staudt "I'm willing to answer specific requests", No you're not, you've provided no information & seem to be refusing to help yourself by providing the information 'requested' by following the steps in the link provided,

There are some knowledgeable people on this forum inc some of the Vegas team who are more than willing to look at this but their initial question would be the same, to read & share the info in the link,, so If you shared that info perhaps they would be willing to join in & help you with your problem, at the moment it's a blank slate,
