Can you copy your splits and edits from one clip onto another?

I recently made an amv but I wanna use a different video clip but keep all the edits and splits I made in the first video clip. So I wanted to know if there was a way to copy all the effects and splits I made to my first video clip onto another clip that hasn't been touched yet? I just don't want to go through all that editing and trimming/splitting again but I guess if there is no other way, I'm gonna have to.

You can copy and Paste Event Attributes in the context menu.

amv?

If you WANT TO use the edits on a different clip, you are GOING TO have to fool Vegas into thinking the new one is the old one. You can do this by any number of methods. For example, just rename the original as videclip001_OLD.mp4 and the new one as videoclip001.mp4 . Just be careful you don't delete anything in case yo want to get it back.

You can also use the option to REPLACE the footage. This imports the new file and replaces the old file in your Media Pool and on the timeline.
