Color rendering changes not visible until rendering starts

Im editing some videos and Im still pretty new to the whole program, but following some tutorials have shown me the basics that I needed to begin editing. Like color rendering, I got some clips I needed to fade colors on, and when I opened "color rendring" and changed the amounts, nothing happend on my video, no matter what I changed or how much, nothing happend. So I put the few changes that I knew I needed in, and left it like that. When I started rendering the video I noticed that the color changes was indeed visible on the rendering, but not otherwise. How can I change this? I got other videos that needs detailed color rendering, and this way is just not reliable. I hope someone can help me who knows how to correct this error.

That's because you have your Split Screen button Enabled and have FX Bypassed.

Good resources for learning already in your program.

What´s "color rendering"? Do you mean "color grading" or "color correction"?

Anyway, just to picture Musicvid´s hint:

Thank you very much Muicvid and frmax! that solved it. and yeah, I probably wrote a bit fast and accidently wrote "color rendering" instead of "color grading", sorry about thatone. ;)
