Converting Vegas Pro filetype VEG to other

For some unknown reason, my Vegas Pro 13 has become really unstable and every time I attempt to render a project I am working on, it crashes. I am trying to find some sort of way to convert my .VEG project into some other video file so I can view it outside of Vegas Pro. Does anyone have any resources they could direct me to?

.veg files contain directions that are only recognized by Vegas. What you wish is not possible.

What you want to do is to troubleshoot your Vegas program. Start by resetting it.

If that doesn't help, follow the directions here:

It's not true. What he wishes to accomplish is possible. There are 2 ways:

1) Paid one - use the AATranslator application. It can convert VEG project in virtually anything.

2) Free one - use XML to export to Davinci or Premiere.

I use both methods and they work seamlessly for me.

I always simplify the project to have only one video track. Then remove unused media from the project and send it to Davinci for color grading.

It is not possible to render a Vegas project file into a video file with an application other than Vegas. That was the question.

We already know that one can export very limited XML that may or may not work in an external editing application for processing. That is a different question, and thanks for sharing your experience.

The principle advice to troubleshoot the application first, and only to export "something" as a last resort remains as stated.
