Couple problems i've experienced and don't know how to fix..

Hi, I am pretty new with Vegas 15 but I search YouTube and check forums a lot on how to do stuff.Two problems I've experienced though are :

1. Flickering text. Why does the text randomly flicker on and off? There is no effect causing it, I just have simple plain text. It flickers in both preview and the final render.

2. Vegas is randomly crashing. I have created a guide and used lots of pics + videos and text and Vegas 15 seems to crash unless I disable multi-core. Is there a way around this?
