Custom render settings don't show up in Vegas pro 17

Vegas Pro 17 won't allow me to access my custom render templates. It won't let me render without selecting a template but when I customize a template, save it and go back to render, the custom template will not show up in the list and Vegas won't let me render without prompting me to select a template.

Check that you are not applying a filter such as Favorites to the displayed list.

Thank you for your suggestion. I have no filters applied. If I edit a render preset and save it, it shows up in the edit custom settings drop down, but as soon as I return to the main render settings, the custom setting doesn't show up. If I click render, it immediately gives me a window telling me to select a template and the edit template button is grayed out. I have cleared the cache, I've returned to default settings, I've made sure the srt2 files are in the vegas 17 folder... it is a bug. I've been using vegas since vegas 1. I've never encountered this issue before.

@Karl-Demer As Musicvid pointed out in another recent thread you need to save your custom template under a new different name by altering the name in the title box. Otherwise it gets ignored as you have found. From memory I cannot recall if one gets a warning about the need to do this.

Edit: Musicvid's link in his post above is exactly what I was referring to. I should have read it first!
