Export codecs with Alpha? browser compatibility?

I am experimenting with some 360 virtual tours, trying to incorporate difference matted presenters into a 360 sphere.. Is there a way to export a video file with a translucent alpha channel for use in a different application? See this https://developer.apple.com/videos/play/wwdc2019/506/

I think you would need to export the matte separately.

I was hoping for something like (see: 7:00 and 30:15"), these guys are pretty fast developers so I recon instead of green screen there'll be an alpha channel option soon.. and I think this should be doable with H.265 ?

I guess the next problem - apart for the video export- is the question what browsers natively support any particular codec containing Alpha??
