Hi, when i want to render a video. The extension gets it wrong, when i want to save it.
Look at my picture:
I want to render my files with the name "moving".
As soon i do this, the files extension names itself as ".MOVING".
I have to save as "all files" to get rid of this mistake, anyone know what causes this?
That's because you did not choose a template.
You have to choose a template from the list.
So your path is
1. Choose "Render as"
2. Choose a codec from the list
3. Choose a template of that codec

Very weird J-V. I do it exact as in your video. I choose a format, then a template, then write a name for the file and choose the location. If not i couldn't render i suppose?
Filename.Extension is the only way it works.
.Moving is not a file extension. There is no registered format called .Moving. Get rid of the broken template(s) you created, and follow the instructions already given.

I'm sorry for not explaning better Musicvid. Of course is '.moving' not a file extension...it is the name of filename of the muvie i'm rendering. In other words.... in every project i want to render, by typing in the filename for "saving as" it's changes the fileype to the same. For example you want to name your file to render as 'project1'....then the 'save as' becomes .project1 .
