Fresh Vegas Pro but i have a wired clicking sound on my audio.

Jonas-Nielsen wrote on 1/14/2021, 8:24 PM

I did try to reinstall and restart my pc.
This sound is not on the orginal clips.
This sound is on olmost on all clips in the timeline.
If i render the project the sound is still on the file.

Is your project set for 44.1k audio?

Jonas-Nielsen wrote on 1/14/2021, 9:57 PM

How do i know/check that?
Do you mean: Project properties - Audio - 44.100 hz?
If that then yes.

What audio hardware are you using? Whatever is built into your computer? Do you have an audio interface or external sound card using an ASIO driver connected to VEGAS?

Systems:

Desktop

AMD Ryzen 7 1800x 8 core 16 thread at stock speed

64GB 3000mhz DDR4

Geforce RTX 3090

Windows 10

Laptop:

ASUS Zenbook Pro Duo 32GB (9980HK CPU, RTX 2060 GPU, dual 4K touch screens, main one OLED HDR)

Warning the audio is loud.

Wiew wrote on 1/17/2021, 10:11 AM

Indeed , your audio clips because it is to loud

You can see it on your master out . The right track is red. That means it crosses 0db

Nothing happens if i set Use so4 audio reader to false
If i set Eneable legacy AVC Decoding on i still have audio clip but without any sound

And on this clip the video is 01:39:400 and audio on 01:39:392
im not sure if thats why i get the clicking sound

But i think i have a problem with the plugin to declode my MP4 AVC file?

Ok its not my Sony Vegas that have a problem it´s the file i downloaded from facebook.

But if i take that file from facebook, uploade to youtube, then downloade from youtube that will fix my problem
The file from facebook is 24:000 kHz for some reson and when uploaded and downloaded from youtube its on 44:100 kHz. Is there anyway i can change this without download, uploade and then download again? :S

even though I personally rarely using it, but I would convert / transcode it...like using Handbrake (I might need to experiment - but I knew other users have depends with this free application a lot)

Anyway, can you share the MediaInfo of both version (Facebook and YouTube)?

I had this same exact issue with a video that I downloaded from facebook as well. The file from facebook was 22,050 kHz, but when I bring it into vegas pro, it says that it's 44,100 kHz. I'm still not sure what is causing the issue though, because it's only when it's a video downloaded specifically from facebook, and when it's open in vegas. It plays perfectly fine on a regular video player.

@DumpoJerome Could you share a link to download a file you are having trouble with? I just downloaded 4 files spanning a decade on Facebook and while some are 22khz, VEGAS is reading it correctly here.
