Hi, I'm going to be recording an extremely long event soon (12h) and I'm recording internally at 4K UHD 29.97p HEVC at 200Mb/s and also externally, on my ninja v, at the same resolution/frame rate but with Prores 422 at 589Mb/s due to time and 4TB SSD capacity.
My question is that if I needed a 4K HDR10 master at around 65-100Mb/s in HEVC, can I get that quality out of the Prores version so I can edit it faster or must I use the internal HEVC recording for that kind of quality? I mean it's doable but is there a point of diminishing returns for this with the Prores version of my recording, before 100Mb/s in HEVC? For h.264 the prores version is completely fine, for 1080p29.97p at like 8-9Mb/s.
I tried looking up stats like compression ratios to help me figure this but couldn't find much helpful info on that for HEVC and specifically prores 422 (not HQ and not LT).
