How can i smoothen in the apparition of video effects?

You don't have to change tracks. Simply split the video event on the one track and create a dissolve by extending one of the split events over the other by the 'dissolve' length that you want. Apply the B&W FX to the first or second split video event, whichever you want, and then you will have a dissolve from color to B&W or vice-versa.

1) You can crossfade between colored & B&W clip within the same event.

2) You can get super fancy using Luma mask (complicated edit) that slowly reveal the clip from Black to white or white to black between overlapping colored & B&W clip

@Pyo As @Dexcon says. But it's much simpler to keyframe the 'Black and White FX' Blend Amount from 0 to 1. You can then use the interpolation modes to get the kind of transform rate you want.

@Pyo Hi, depending on which version of Vegas your using you can added the B&W fx to an Adjustment track & use the Level to fade in the B&W, this will affect all tracks below that Adjustment track regardless of cuts or fades on other events below.

PS I've just discovered that if the Adjustment track is made a parent, the 'fx adjustment' is only applied to the children of that group 😁👍
