How to crop with no KeyFrames?

FayFen wrote on 12/31/2019, 2:13 AM

I have few "presentation slides" I need to place over a video. I want to crop out some of their white background

With Pan-Crop I can do so but I cant find how to keep it put . I need just one "key frame". I try to copy the first and paste it to last but it doesn't work. there must be a simple way just to crop an event and stick it without any change.

Thank you.

I'm puzzled by your problem. Just one keyframe at the beginning should do it.

Deselect the Padlock at the bottom of your keyframe window. and delete all but the first one.

Thank you,

On my other NLE the default is "no key frames", so once you set your settings they stay put (unless you change to motion mode) In vms it's always in keyframes (motion) mode as I understand it. The problem for me is that I MUST be on the first event frame to make the changes, if I'm on any other frame, it set as keyframe and set a motion from the first keyframe.

This isn't in the correct intuitive flow, but I guess you are used to it.

Just disable the timeline synchronize so the Pan/Crop cursor would always start on the first Event frame.

I prefer to keep that. It's better just to hit the "go to first frame" next to it,

Thank you.
