How to make a 3D YouTube video from SteamVR's Headset Mirror?

Last Chrismas I got an Oculus Rift. I record every time I play, so I've been recording SteamVR's Headset Mirror window (I almost never play games through the Oculus app) using OBS Classic.

I also have a YouTube channel, and I want to know how to convert this kind of unique footage into a proper 3D video, metadata and all so viewers can switch the 3D off if they wanted to.

  • Windows 10 Pro 64-bit
  • VEGAS Movie Studio Platinum 13
  • Raw footage is 1296x720p, 30 fps

Thanks in advance!

Instructions for doing so have not been published here yet. Maybe you will become the first??

I haven't found any NLE that will take side by side 3D files and convert to regular full frame 3D.

Bump. This is probably possible using FFmpeg.
