How to remove date and time of my video?

candylovergirl wrote on 12/1/2019, 5:42 PM

I have VMS 167 on a Win10 PC, I want to remove the date and time of my video, but I can not find a tutorial in YouTube that shows me how to.

From the red line to the top of the screen, that is what I want to remove, delete or I don't want it in my video.

Is this possible in VMS or only in the Pro version?

Any good tutorial in YouTube in English?

Well, you can crop top out or you can blur the text.

I guess the pro can do such simple tasks.

Use the Crop FX as TrackFX. With the Crop FX you then can easily crop the top part of your video, which ofcourse will result then in a black bar at the top of your video. For a tutorial just search for crop effect in Vegas (Movie Studio) at YouTube.

There are also many tutorials for cropping using Pan/Crop.

They are fully searchable on this forum. Here, I'll get you started "this time."

1. In the forum Search box, type "pan crop."

2. When the results come up, click Tutorials.

3. Pick Andrew Devis tutorial series (that's just an example).

4. Follow the links to his website, then pick tutorial 32. The learning is the same for Movie Studio as it is for Vegas Pro.

5. Make lots of mistakes, then look at some other tutorials here and on the internet. There are literally hundreds. Then come back here and ask questions based on what you have learned.

6. We're always glad to help, especially those who help themselves.

Welcome to the forum.

And thank you!

For a new user, you are a shining star.

Also, the new crop fx @3POINT mentioned may be a little easier -- I don't have that version.

Personally I still prefer the old Pan/crop tool, but for new users the Crop FX (and PIP FX) is easier to use because you can make the adjustments directly in the preview window.
