How to render video for android?

Hey all, first post here and total video editing noob. I have a 50 second long video properly edited, but I have tried 10s of different rendering options and not a single one will play on my Galaxy 8s+. I plan to post it to Instagram, so I have been emailing the video to myself every time to test it out, only to find it says the codec is not supported. I am on Vegas 15. Thank you

Which renderoptions have you used because rendering to Mp4 was for me never a problem. I render in Vegas pro 15 always for my android smartphone to one of these templates based on the framerate of the sources ( sometimes customized framerates)

Android preset in Handbrake. It just works.

I always render to MP4 and find it to work with all kind of devices such PC, Mac, Andriod and iOS devices. Even on smart TVs, and digital satellite receivers.
