It is listed under Deprecated Features and I have the titler's box checked but nothing I try can open it or even locate it. Is it gone??
Mine's there in Media Generators where its always been. Did you remember to restart Vegas?
Yes, I know but it's empty. All my stored titles which I used to find here are gone.

Musicvid probably means that it is displayed when you - after selecting the checkbox - should close Vegas. After restarting, the Protype Titler will probably be displayed.

Got it. Explanations are always helpful. This was a real scare for me; hundreds of titles all gone.

No, I didn't. That would have helped of course. I already had it checked so I presumed it's available, but I couldn't find it in any of the obvious locations. I believe I unchecked and rechecked it at some point so that's when the action must have been triggered.
I am curious about something; Pro Type Titler is listed and treated as deprecated, something that can be dropped at any point. But what I am working with is called, Vegas Titles & Text which in my view is already pretty well made, stable & thus promising a future of a full life. Should I presume that this is not PTT anymore and I can drop my fears that it might at anytime be dumped into the dustbin of history?

@Paul-Fierlinger Titles and Text is not Pro Type Titler but it can use Pro Type Titler titles. It has been said that there is no immediate threat of Pro Type Titler going away but will not be updated.
That's fine with me. My needs for the use of text and titles is quite basic and in good taste. At first it was difficult to start a titler by first opening its space on a timeline and other quirks but in the end they all do make sense and do expedite the process of setting text spaces. Glad to here it's here to stay like death and taxes.
@Paul-Fierlinger - My D&T comment was related to your comment about the future, the future of Titlers, and that the only certainty is D&T.
