I need the Reverb to linger

SWS wrote on 3/29/2023, 4:14 PM

Surely this is something simple that I just forgot how to do. I have a 3 sec narration audio clip (extracted from a longer narration track) I have the reverb effect set fine I just want the reverb to continue to linger/fade gradually out but as soon as the playhead is past my clip the reverb stops dead. Isn't there a way for it to gradually fade out or do I somehow need to create a longer narration clip with more "dead air" at the end.

Add a blank event on an open track to extend the length.

Thanks, sounds like a plan. I did go ahead and render a .wav of the track with more bit more at the tail and that worked but at the cost of a generation .

1, deselect "Loop" in properties

2, draw the event so long as you want and do a fade-out

3, add your echo/delay/reverb effect

Uh, there is no "cost" to a .wav render other than from the plugin. We call that "mathematically lossles."
