Import / Export configuration

Hi everyone !

I was wondering if there is a feature in Vegas Pro (15) to save and load my custom configuration. I took some note of course of what I need to configure, but I wonder if there is an easier way. Reaper for instance has a little file that you can save and load, it contains all my settings, macro customization, colors, basically everything.

Try View/Windows Layouts for a start.

I believe you saved the window layout.

To save everything, create a project with your preferred settings and save it as if a template.

There are also configurable presets for almost everything under the sun.

Look at scripts like Vegasaur and Excalibur for more automation like you're used to.

I think the OP is looking for something like a "Preset Manager" that can transfer, store things like windows layouts, custom keyboard short cuts, toolbar settings and so on. Vegasaur can do it partially but it would be nice if Vegas would have it's own tool. It is no "fun" having to customize Vegas almost from scratch with every new full version.

Yes, config and log files were never a big deal with Vegas.

Yes until now, I used veg files to keep the settings it's useful, now I'm saving also the Windows Layouts. I guess it's as far as it gets. I have taken many notes about my settings, so altogether it should be fine. Thank you very much to the three of you for your help :)
