imported video wrong length Vegas Pro 16

I created 2 lower third video's and exported as mp4. If I play them in windows default player they work fine.

I created a test project, imported a single video clip then both lower thirds and all worked as expected.

I then opened an existing project that has aprox 20 video clips in, all trimmed with transitions. When I add the lower thirds they don't work correctly.

One of them the start is missed off and the other the end is missed off - both clips are the correct length but don't play correctly.

If I open them in the trimmer they work as expected, it's just that when I add them to the timeline they don't.

Anyone seen anything similar before?

Are the properties (frame rate especially) the same for the lower third mp4 you created and the project with the 20 video clips?

>> One of them the start is missed off

Do you mean the beginning of the file is somehow not there but the overall length on the timeline is right?

My first thought was a frame rate mismatch in media and / or project.

Go with xberk.

If you took the lower thirds from the window "Project Media" instead of from the Vegas Explorer be sure you did not accidentely set in and out points in Project Media (which easily happens just by mouse dragging over the Project Media clip thumbnails).

Marco, you are right, I had set in and out points. You've just saved my sanity :)

I'm very new to vegas so thank you all for your help and patience.
