That's very common with multicamera projects; they are resource-heavy.
Making proxies of you Project Media will help, so will pre-rendering the selection of video you wish to preview.

I bought a better computer to try to work without lag:
- ryzen 9 7950x
- RTX 3090
- 64 GB RAM memory
- nvme 2tb (7000 read/write)

120Mbps 60p in a multicam project "may" not preview too well on any system without the help of a "Proxy" and/or or a "Prerender." Or, you might get lucky.

I've noticed the same with Picture in picture, blending multiple tracks, masking, multicam editing. You have good hardware, it will likely be the issue of Vegas not being able to fully utilize modern hardware. At 60fps could also be experiencing the GPU decoder overload bug. See if turning off GPU decoder helps.
Either tick the Legacy AVC decoding box, or change 'hardware decoder to use' to OFF.
