I am trying to edit multi camera but the syncing tabs are greyed out.

Unless you have SMPTE timecode or a recognized timestamp, the sync options will remain greyed out and you will need to align the corresponding frames by hand. To enable different tracks for multicam editing, you must select them first.
We suggest trying the Help and Tutorials first, as you will find most of your answers there.

According to the manual and the greyed out options, audio syncing is also available. It offers three types of syncs, audio, time code and time stamp.
