Preview of HEVC footage stuttering in Vegas V20 build 326

I am trying to edit some 4K HEVC double NTSC footage. Loading into Vegas V20 build 326 and rendering is OK, but the preview is stuttering. H364 files do not have this problem. Can that be changed?

I am running Windows 10 on a system with AMD Ryzen 9 5900X 3.7 GHz (4.8 GHz), Gigabyte GeForce RTX 3070 GAMING OC 8 GB V2 LHR and 2x Corsair Vengeance LPX 3600 C16.

Dunno, but Double NTSC often requires a Proxy Render.

Post your full MediaInfo output, or better yet upload a true sample of your ORIGINAL source to Drive or Dropbox, not YT.

It's 10 bit too, it'll likely need proxies for smooth playback. HEVC is much more difficult to decode. To make proxies, right click on the media in your project media bin and select "create video proxy". then set preview quality to preview or draft, and you'll have smooth playback.
