Question on handling of professional DPX files in VP17

I am working on a project where film was digitized in the DPX file format. I have a folder for each scene in the film and every frame of the film is a DPX file. I set the frame-rate of the timeline in the Project Preferences at 16-fps. Vegas Pro 17 will not let me drop a 'folder' on the timeline, so I opened the folder and selected all the frames and added to the timeline, but Vegas acts like each file as picture.

In Davinci Resolve, if I select a file folder of DPX files and move it to the media pool, it displays an image (icon) of a frame from the folder. If I then move that icon into the timeline, ALL the frames are moved onto the timeline and play at the framerate set for the project.

What am I doing wrong in Vegas Pro 17 in my handling of DPX files?

Thanks, Bart

There is a checkbox in the file import dialog box to tell Vegas you want to import a sequence of stills. You just select the first frame of your sequence.

Assuming your stills are named in proper sequence and syntax.
