Rendering in H.264 on Vegas Pro 16

I've started Youtubing recently and I noticed that my videos take an eternity to upload (anywhere from 3 hours for 15 minute videos to 5 hours for 25 minute videos). Apparently, I'm rendering my videos in the wrong codec, but the right container (my videos are MP4 files, as YouTube recommends). However, it recommends I use a H.264 Video codec, and I have no idea to render my video as such. Any advice or tips on how to do so? Thanks in advance.

Use one of the Internet mp4 templates. They are h264.

If your rendered file is very large (high bitrate), it naturally takes longer to upload. YT is going to re encode it anyway so having a very high res file does not guarantee a perfect transition to YT.

Depends also on the pixelformat of the export, but in VPro 16 your best choice is one of the Magix AVC/ACC codec with the template that suites your sourcefiles and project settings. One of all these

So you are saying that all the Internet mp4 templates use the H.264 codec?
