RSMB Not Working in Sony Vegas 19

CascohTV wrote on 1/7/2022, 9:42 PM

Hi there... I just recently upgraded from Sony Vegas 14 to Sony Vegas 19 and I am trying to get all of my plugins back into order. For some reason I have been having trouble trying to get my RSMB Pro to get rid of this "X" in the middle of my preview, I never seen this on SV 14. Is there anything I need to do to get rid of it? I've tried multiple installation pahts/guides and multiple YouTube guides with no luck. Is Sony Vegas 19 still to new for some of these OFX plugins? Hope to hear some help, thanks!

Sony Vegas 14, Sony Vegas 19??????

The last Vegas Pro released by Sony was Vegas Pro 13, after which Sony sold the Vegas line of products to MAGIX. All subsequent releases (i.e 14 to 19) do not have any Sony branding on them at all though pirate versions may have added 'Sony'.

RSMB = ReelSmart Motion Bur? If yes, do you have the latest build for Vegas Pro that being 6.5.2 according to their website.

There were OFX changes made to Vegas Pro coding with the introduction of Vegas Pro 17 that most notably emant that FXHome needed to change OFX coding for their Ignite Pro plugin package. This may be the case with RSMB particularly if you have an older version of it from the Vegas Pro 14 era.

@Dexcon

Thank you for getting back quick.. I apologize calling it "Sony Vegas" its what im use to haha. Also yes RSMB is the ReelSmart Motion Blur. It says Build (341) when launching Vegas 19.

Build 341 is the original release of Vegas Pro 19 back in August last year, and it has been updated 3 times since, the latest build being 458. To get that, go to My Products under your MAGIX My Account and download it from there. But, everytime you open Vegas Pro 19, there should be an unavoidable nag window inviting you to download and install the latest update via a link in that nag window.

The 6.5.2 that I referred to is the latest build of RSMB.

Does this also happen with a pirated (Sony) Vegas 19 version of VP19?

@Dexcon

So correct me if im wrong. The 341 build wont work with RSMB but If I get the newest version it should work? Will this be the case every time V19 updates?

We suspect that you are using pirated Vegas, because pirated Vegas will not automatically upgrade to the latest build. Legal Vegas will automatically upgrade to the latest build.

The solution is to simply reinstall RevisionFX RSMB and also re-enter the serial numbers and you should be good to go.

I guess we won't know that until you have updated your legal, registered version of Magix Vegas Pro to the latest version via the normal route, reinstalled and reregistered your plugin, and tested it and reported back here.

If you have a plugin that worked before, but not now, then the appropriate place to start your inquiry is with the third-party plugin manufacturer, not this peer software forum.
