Hello all, I'm hoping someone can help here as I am at my wits end. I recently had an audio problem that lead me to update my drivers on my Dell 17-7779 with a Core i7-7500 CPU @ 2.7GHz, 24GB/RAM, SSD, and an NVidia 940MX video card. The driver update seems to have completely screwed up the way my video card works with Movie Studio Platinum 16 (Build 175) as now it will only render using my CPU. I tried updating to 17, and it is still not using the GPU to assist with rendering. My render settings are as follows:
Magix AVC/AAC MP4
Profile = HIGH
Field Order- None
VBR Max - 40,000,000
VBR Min - 20,000,000
Encode Quality - 7
Encode Mode - Mainconcept AVC (no other options present)
Audio: 192 Kbps, 48,000 Hz, 16 Bit, Stereo, AAC
Video: 59.940 fps, 1920x1080 Progressive, YUV, 20 Mbps
Pixel Aspect Ratio: 1.000
In 16, I've made sure to do the Shift-Preferences, go into Internal, Enable OpenCL and legacy settings. This system also has an Intel HD620 onboard graphics card, but when it was chugging like normal I had the nVidia selected in the menu. I've gone into my PC's Graphics settings and made sure both 16 & 17 are using the nVidia GPU, and gone into the nVidia control panel and also set MSP to use the High performance mode. What up until a few days ago took 20 minutes to render is taking 90 minutes. A 1-minute 1080P file from my Canon T7i took ten minutes to render, I just trimmed the footage with no additional graphics or layers. Unfortunately I can't just do a system rollback because the only one I have as an option is after I did the driver update. I tried rolling the nVidia drivers back but that hasn't done anything. I really don't know what to do and I am quite frustrated, any assistance would be amazing. Thanks in advance.
