Seriously pissed off using Vegas Pro since last few years

Currently using vegas pro 17 but these issues are there in older version also. I mostly have chroma footage from GH5 (MP4 1080p 60 Fps, 28 Mbps). I put 2 layers as background. One is video and one is png image. Both have gausion blur effect added. Vegas is crashing in previewing sometimes or drops framerates randomly. Also rendering stuck at some point many times. Even tried gpu acceleration turned off but its not good.

Currently working on a project and it is crashing frequently

I am seriously thinking to switch to another software because of these basic issues.

Cpu Spec:

G.SKILL Aegis 24GB DDR4 2666

Intel Core i7-8086K Coffee Lake 6-Core 4.0 GHz (5.0 GHz Turbo)

Intel UHD Graphics 630 (previously using Quadro K4000 and facing same issues)

Samsung 970 EVO SSD

I wish you good luck at that, but if you are not only complaining but maybe need some help, provide here the exact drivernumber for your 630 GPU and a screenshot of your loaded project in VPro 17 (buildnumber?)

I even tried Vegas Pro 18 and currently editing project on it. Crashing after every few seconds. Build: 284

I am facing these issue for more than 2 years I think. Sometimes they are less frequent and sometimes they really annoy. I am using Vegas since 11 years and its most easy to use Professional Grade Editor.

I advice you at least to update that GPU diver to the latest 27.20.100.9126 driver and that goes very easy by using the update option in VPro 18/ Help menu

Before reading your post, I updated the driver using intel download center. Will now try.

Try turning off "GPU Acceleration of Video Processing" in Preferences.

If that works, try upgrading your graphics drivers before turning it back on.

Now working without crashing after updating driver

Your welcom😄 and when you are a bit further please change your opening complaint, because since Magix overtook these programs the results becomes better and better because they are now the owners of this programs, in which Sony would not invest anymore.

What do you mean by changing the opening complaint?

My Quadro K4000 died couples of weeks ago. As I saw in your signature you have used GTX and RTX both, so what you will suggest me? Which one is better for vegas pro? Like maybe I can get higher model of GTX in same price I will be getting lower end rtx model. My budget is 600 dollar,.

Sorry, but I never suggest things for others on other hardware .
I use already for years this combinations on desktops and laptops in signature that will be updated once in about four years because Windows and my programs are changing pretty fast with all kinds of improvements, not everyone sees, because they use other settings in Windows and Vegas.
The only suggestion I want to make is : From Vegas Pro 18 and hopefully higher the programs choose the best settings for themselfs for Options/Preferences/Video or File I/O.
So let those stay after installation to their default.
What you will do with other settings is up to your own choice.
