[SOLVED] Levi's Jeans Tag in Video

<Repost. Accidentally created a new user account that I will delete>

Hello

I'm working on a video for upload to YouTube, and there is a scene where you can see the Levi's tag on the guy's jeans. Is that going to be a trademark infringement? I'm not in studio now, but I don't believe you can read the Levi's name, but you can see the distinct brown tag on the waist.

Thanks!

You probably need to ask a lawyer.

To me (I'm not a lawyer) it would actually appear to give Levi free advertising!

Thanks. I seem to recall seeing Levi's tags on pants in many videos, but I don't want to get any strikes from YT.

Thanks,

Stephen

That's not how it works anymore.

If Levis doesn't like it, they'll hang an ad on it.

If Levis does like it, they'll hang an ad on it, maybe buy you a cup of coffee.

Perhaps what we may need to know further is: How large / how close up does that Levi's jeans appear on the video?

and what context of overall video you are working with...

*same position like EricLNZ, I'm zero in law - but in order to see if Levi's tag will be issue or not - I personally assume may need to add further question like the above.

Hello--

Mostly walking away from the camera. Where I cut the scene would dictate how close the label is. I just wanted to see how much latitude I had so I could base the editing on content, instead of trying to hide something.

Thanks,

Stephen

Unless you actually zoomed in on the label, I wouldn't worry about it.

Thanks. It's definitely not in any negative light. It's completely incidental.
