[SOLVED] Need Help Loading Glitch Transition Effects

razor7video wrote on 12/3/2019, 10:00 AM

Hello Group -

I posted this same question to the Footage Crate forum, but haven't heard back from anyone yet. I've gotten great responses from this forum, so I thought I'd give it a try here.

I'm trying to add a glitch transition from Footage Crate (technicalglitchtransition2) to my project and I've watched the instructional video about configuring the fx, but my issue is actually loading the glitch clips.

When I unzipped the download of the fx, it created a folder of 52 frames. How do I load the fx into my VP project? I've tried just one frame, and I've tried 29 frames in sequence. The one frame doesn't give me the effect I want, and 29 frames is unwieldy to work with.

I figure this is a real easy one for you--but first time using their fx.

Thanks in advance

If the frames are numbered sequentially, you import it as an IMAGE SEQUENCE.

Thanks. I see that option, but unless I'm doing it wrong, it adds each glitch frame as a separate sequential clip. That makes it really difficult to apply things like fades, etc.

Is that how it's supposed to work?

Thanks,

Stephen

Put your glitches on a separate track, and add frame-conformed gaps to your program below if you like. Is that something like what you are looking for?

Sorry, I honestly don't know. I want to use the effect to introduce new scenes in my project. The site is here, and the glitch effect I'm trying to use is called, 'Glitch Tech Transition 2' There is a thumbnail with a preview when you hover over it, and I can't tell if that's a series of multiple clips to make the effect in the preview.

Any ideas? Is it common to load multiple frames of content to create a single effect? I just wasn't sure if maybe I just didn't know how it's supposed to work and I'm loading them correctly.

Thanks.

Thanks,

Stephen

Try it.

I have no personal interest in that third party effect.

Looks like there are other file format options I can download. .mov and .mp4. I'll work with those instead.

Thanks,

Stephen
