Sony VEGAS Pro 15.0 will not open .mp4 problem

Hello, hello! So, I'm having this really strange problem with VEGAS 15. When trying to re-open some mp4. videos made with my DJI Osmo+ camera I get this message: An error occurred while opening one or more files. The reason for this error could not be determined. Now, what's so strange about this is that VEGAS 15 did open these files on a previous occasion and I actually edited them with no problem from the start. I did not make any changes in software of hardware since then, and I did not modify the preferences in the program. What's even more weird is that some mp4. filles DO WORK. The difference between the ones that work and those that don't is that the working ones have a simple .mp4 extension, while the non-working ones have a .mp4 (.MP4) extension. I installed all the codecs and I tried pretty much everything. Din anyone else stumble upon this really frustrating problem?

Did you try deleting (.MP4) from the extension name so that the extension is just .mp4? I've not seen a bracketed extension name before.

1. Provide the properties of the file that does not work.

https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/faq-how-to-post-mediainfo-and-vegas-pro-file-properties--104561/

I installed all the codecs and I tried pretty much everything.

2. What does this mean? If you have installed a freeware codec "pack" on your editing system, it may be very hard to help you.
