So I have a video in sony vegas pro 14. I also have a layer with text. I want to layer this text (its a text from photoshop) on my video. I tottally not understand how to layer the text about the video. It keeps showing the text OR the video. Please help. Thank you so much.

put the text on a track above the video. This will only work if your text from photoshop has a transparent background, however. If it doesn't, you're better off using Vegas' text generator to do it.
