Is anyone still using DNxHD and Handbrake workflow for YouTube destined renders or if there something better (and easier) now? At the moment I am in Vegas 12.
I frame serve out of Vegas directly into Handbrake, this avoids the double render, DNxHD not needed. Handbrake renders a smaller size file holding the quality. I'm on a limited data bandwidth connection, so file size is important.
Handbrake and its sibling softwares is an absolute must for me, irrespective of what NLE I'm using at the time.
All high praises aside - I don't think an NLE will perform better then a software dedicated for such tasks. One is optimized for that one task - the other - well, nearly optimized, but not as much.
@Musicvid My website was hosted by GoDaddy. Their "Violations Team" froze my account because I was hosting my own videos and linking to .zip files (still don't know why that was an issue). I tried to appeal their decision but they wouldn't budge so I canceled that domain. I'll send you a PM.
Thanks. I have heard similar nightmares about GoDaddy, since that time actually. Maybe someone has an archive somewhere; I'll search, because new users are still raising the same questions and blaming Vegas, as if the past never happened ...
I'm going to save all the pages from /testing/ that I can find, update the links, zip and email to you. May take some time, but it is a valuable resource today, and you deserve the credit!
