The preview is lagging when video is sped up!

Hi, I need a bit of help regarding the preview window in my Vegas Pro 15.

When I started a new project and put the video I want sped up, it was perfectly fine, no lag until I sped up the video, then the lagging started.

I tried to go with it for my project, but I just cant stand the preview window lagging whenever the sped up video came up! I tried changed the preview quality to even draft auto, but the preview still lags at the sped up video!

I tried to look up solutions, but there were no videos or threads about it, so I had to come here for help. Can anyone please help me with this? I can't stand the preview window lagging at the sped up video anymore!

What are your PC/Laptop Spec?. What is the Media ?  HD / 4k, etc

Operating System: Windows 10 Home 64-bit (10.0, Build 17134) (17134.rs4_release.180410-1804)

Processor: Intel(R) Pentium(R) CPU  N3710  @ 1.60GHz (4 CPUs), ~1.6GHz
                   Memory: 4096MB RAM

Intel(R) HD Graphics

 

IDK what you mean by media, like what is the media/video in Vegas Pro 15 or what?

Your system is underpowered and marginal for editing and preview. An i7 with plenty of RAM is suggested.

I don't believe that it is, because I did do it to a different video before in a past project and it was fine, but now it just makes the preview window lag, which I do not get.

WMV VC1 is an obscure format and almost uneditable.

I'm surprised it opens at all in Vegas!

Try converting to mp4 first in Handbrake and see how that works in Vegas.
