UNDO (Ctrl+Z) REDO (Ctrl+Y) commands hanging / taking approx 10 sec

Whenever i worked on large number of clips i.e. 300 - 800, after some editing tasks like edits, giving effects & transitions & inserts texts etc. UNDO & REDO command starts hanging / takes time approx. 10 sec to release. This is a very old bug/problem from Vegas Pro 13 to Vegas Pro 15. (I don't use old version from Vegas Pro 13)

Why it is happening? What is its solution? Help..

I've also seen this sometimes. A restart of Vegas can help. You could also try Clear Edit History from the bottom of the Edit menu to flush the Undo buffer.

What version and build of Vegas do you have? What type of media?

Your undo buffers are taxing your page file. Save your project and restart as Nick says. It won't hurt you a bit having those project backups.

The common element between this post and your other one is that you use hundreds of clips (800?) on the timeline with a system that is perhaps a little underpowered for the task.

Maybe another approach would be to see how Vegas performs on a better computer. Can you borrow one from a friend or colleague just to do a little testing? I think you would benefit from more RAM and more hard drives; the CPU is also under spec. for video editing.

As alluded to in the other post, increase your system pagefile by no more than 10% and see if it makes a difference.

BUT DO A FULL BACKUP FIRST (you already knew that, right?)
