Vegas 15 Platinum - I can't rotate a video.

I'm very new to this program and it seems like it won't perform doing the most simple tasks. When I try to rotate a video in the Project Media section (90 degree clockwise, etc) NOTHING happens. The video does not rotate at all. So then I tried rotating the video via the Pan/Crop tool and when I go to turn it, the program suffers a massive slowdown. The video will turn only a couple degree, then freeze then I have to wait about 2 minutes then repeat. I can literally take 10 minutes to rotate a video 90 degrees! Could it possibly be my hardware (see below). Did I get too much program for my PC or is this movie studio 15 a lemon?

@ Jon-Gee, Something very strange as both Media Properties and Pan/Crop work perfectly for me, and my PC specs are way inferior to yours.
