Vegas File Disapeared

So the problem its that I lost the file the problem is that its not the right version. The last thing I did on the file was make some edits to some sections of the video and render those sections(don't know if this matters but the name I called the render was different than the name of the actual file(I have no clue wat it could be at this point)). I've ben working on other video's recently so I haven't opened the file up in a while and wen I did it didn't have the edits I made, I've saved the file multiple times and have open and closed it before with it still being there. I did get a new hard drive but that was a few day after I stopped using the file I think. I use Sony Vegas 14 Edit (Steam version)on Windows 10.

Thanks for a good story. Was there a question associated with that?

*Sigh* I don't have the current or right version of the file.

Well, if you don't know the name of the file you created, that is a problem.

Start by searching your computer for all files with a particular extension, like

*.veg

*.veg.bak

*.mp4

*.avi

*.whatever

Also check Vegas' recent files list, and good luck!

What is .veg.bak again?

It is a backup of your project file, as its name suggests. When you take off the .bak, you get a .veg file. Neat, huh?
