This is a "stitched" file from a Pixellot camera.

Is there any obvious specs where there is concern ?

Here is a link to download a game: https://www.dropbox.com/s/ysuaie6bg3zs4ao/NS%20Vs%20Vees%20ViPr%20Scorebar.mp4?dl=0

Thanks

I see two issues: The height of the frame isn't dividable by 8. And the frame rate isn't constant.

Thank you. If I ran this thru HandBrake, I am assuming this will rectify these two issues. Giving it a try right now but this will be a big hassle if I have to do this to every game/file. Thanks again

I'd consider using a different way of recording or at least check if there are better recording settings available which fit common video standards. This file definitely has more than these two issues I mentioned above. Whatever tool I use trying to open, re-wrap or transcode this file give me some kind of error, even VLC player doesn't decode the first second of the video correct. Whatever FFmpeg based tool I tried to use to re-wrap quitted the process. Another analyze shows these issues:

[h264 @ 0000000000614080] A non-intra slice in an IDR NAL unit.
[h264 @ 0000000000614080] decode_slice_header error

I ran this file thru HandBrake and I was able to load it in Vegas Pro 14. But this is an additional 25 minute process added to he workflow. I have relayed your suggestions to our partners who control process. Thank you.

Should go quicker and no re-encode with ffmpeg.

Follow these basic directions, except we know you're not starting with .mov

I tried a re-wrap directly with ffmpeg but it refused to use this file.

It may be the mp3 audio. Any luck demuxing and wrapping the video stream alone?

Musicvid wrote on 8/25/2017, 1:58 PM

OK, I was angling for my third solution this week, but this is just a partial . . .

The more I read about Pixellot, the more I suspected it was a Transport Stream.

Logical experiment -- Quickstream Fix in VideoRedo.

Well, it worked -- got a sanitized file that opens in VMSP, but VRD didn't recognize the mp3 audio, either.

So it seems it would still need an audio demux and stream conversion, as well. Getting it synced up again could be a pita.

Might take a look at your controls and see if you can acquire AAC audio with the video stream -- then VRD should see eveything. BTW, there were 231 resync frames dropped during QSF...
